BARRY MENDEL (Producer) produced his first film, Rushmore, directed by Wes Anderson in 1998.  This was followed by The Sixth Sense directed by Night Shyamalan, which was nominated for 6 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.  Subsequently, he produced its follow-up, Unbreakable, then went back to work with Wes Anderson on the The Royal Tenenbaums, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Screenplay.  This collaboration continued on The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, which was followed by Joss Whedon's directorial debut, Serenity. He next produced Munich directed by Steven Spielberg, which was nominated for 5 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. He then went back to work with Shyamalan to produce The Happening. Most recently, Mendel produced Judd Apatow's critically-acclaimed Funny People as well as Drew Barrymore's directorial debut, Whip It.

PHILIPPE ROUSSELOT (Director of Photography) has had a long and distinguished career as a director of photography. He won an Oscar in 1993 for A River Runs Through It and was nominated for Oscars for Henry & June (1990) and Hope and Glory (1987). His other film credits include Dangerous Liaisons, We’re No Angels, Sommersby, Interview with the Vampire, Mary Reilly, The People Vs. Larry Flynt, Instinct, Planet of the Apes, Random Hearts, The Tailor of Panama, Antwone Fisher and Big Fish.  More recently, Rousselot has served as cinematographer on The Brave One, Lions for Lambs, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and The Great Debaters.

JEANNINE OPPEWALL (Production Designer, Associate Producer) The first film that Oppewall designed was Tender Mercies. She has received Academy Award nominations for L.A. Confidential, Pleasantville, Seabiscuit and most recently, The Good Shepherd. Other films for which she is known are Catch Me if You Can, The Bridges of Madison County and The Music Box. Most recently, she collaborated with Barry Mendel and M. Night Shyamalan on “The Happening.” Oppewall is currently on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, where is she co-chairing the Museum Committee. 

MICHAEL LANDER (Director, Co-Screenwriter) makes his directorial debut with Peacock, which he co-wrote with Ryan Roy; acclaimed producer Barry Mendel took notice of Lander and he was soon attached to the project. Lander and Roy also caught the attention of Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way, for their feature Kite, a kinetic thriller about the prison industrial complex. Previously, Lander penned a feature-length script from his first short film, the award-winning Solid Waste. This project landed him a coveted spot in the prestigious Fox Searchlight young-director incubator.  The latest project for Lander is the re-imagining of Mario Bava’s cult classic Rabid Dogs.


RYAN O ROY (Co-Screenwriter/Co-Producer) is a native Bostonian.  He studied English Literature at Boston College.  Peacock is his first produced screenplay.  In development are the original screenplay Kite (co-written w/ Michael Lander) for Warner Brothers/ Appian Way (Leonardo DiCaprio's Production Co.)  Additionally, Ryan is writing an original crime/drama called Orphans Rule for Blumhouse.
